Opening reception: August 5, 3pm-9pm, in partnership with Rubber Culture’s Kulture Fest 2023 - The Blue Collar Invitational motorcycle festival.
We are excited to announce an open call for our upcoming art exhibition, "IN MOTION - Art of the Motorcycle" This exhibition will showcase the vibrant and dynamic world of motorcycles as art, featuring works of all mediums of art that explore machines with two wheels and a motor.
Eight custom hand-built motorcycles will be included as art and put on display in the gallery accompanying the fine art.
All mediums welcomed: Painting, photography, installation, sculpture, video.
The theme is motorcycles! Sculptures can be abstract but made from motorcycle parts, or let your imagination run. Art depicting Electric Bikes are welcomed.
The opening reception on August 5th will run concurrently with the Kulture Fest 2023 - The Blue Collar Invitational. This bike festival and competition will include cash prizes for best bike and take place outside in the Culture Lab LIC parking lot music venue. Music and vendors will be included all day and evening ensuring a big crowd.
We invite artists of all backgrounds to submit their motorcycle inspired art for consideration. We are looking for bold, original, high quality fine art works.
We can't wait to see the amazing creations that artists will bring to this exhibition. Join us in celebrating the vibrant world of motorcycles as art!
All work must be ready to hang or be installed. We cannot accept work otherwise. Sculptures must be freestanding on the floor, plinths or wall hung.
Delivery of art:
Thur-Fri, July 27 -28, 5pm-9pm
Sat-Sun, July 29-30, 2pm-9pm
Mon, July 31, 10am-12noon
All work must be hand delivered to the gallery. We cannot accept shipped works. Instructions and details for artwork delivery will be included in applicant's acceptance notification.
