We are so excited to announce that we've reached our goal of $5,000!  But it's not over! We still need to reach our full $25k by the end of the year. All donations will be single matched through the end of the year. That means your $25 donation becomes $50. We are verrrry lucky to have this matching fund, so please help put it to the best use.

Please consider contributing a tax-deductible donation to support your local Arts & Culture Center!

In case you didn't know, Culture Lab is a non-profit arts center formed to bring accessible high-quality art of all genres to our community. Your donation will go directly to support Culture Lab's FREE programming of music concerts, art exhibitions, artist residencies, cultural events, community support, and more!

Why Give to Culture Lab LIC?

This year, we produced over 150 FREE outdoor performances, 30 live-stream concerts, 11 art exhibitions, 15 theatrical/dance/film events, food relief for families in need, 25 community events including fundraisers for our local schools with 2,800 children graduating COVID safe from our outdoor stage. We are home to 12 artists-in-residence and provide meeting and rehearsal space to our partners and many other nonprofits.

When you support Culture Lab LIC, you are supporting the whole community!

Our ART GALLERY is open Thursday-Friday, 5-9pm, Saturday,  2-9pm and Sunday 2-8pm. (Outdoor performances have ended for this year.) Keep your eye on our social media for our Culture Lab Sessions Livestream Series, and our upcoming theatre, dance and comedy performances!

Culture Lab LIC is a 501(c)(3) formed to bring accessible high quality art of all genres to our community, and to support local artists by providing rehearsal, performance, exhibition space, as well as a robust residency program. CL is dedicated to upholding, equity, diversity and inclusion across all our platforms.

Operating out of a 12,000 square foot art center, Culture Lab LIC hosts two fine art galleries, a 90 seat theatre, classroom space, and an 18,000 square foot outdoor venue, made possible by the generous donation of space from Plaxall Inc.

CL is honored to host more arts programming than any other organization in New York City.  Culture Lab is more than a venue, it is the heart of Long Island City.

LIC is a Galaxy

This unique and evolving installation on view this spring celebrates the idea that Long Island City is a galaxy, both diverse and unified. Whether you live and work in LIC, or are just visiting our galaxy, we encourage you to bundle up and travel to all twenty “planets” placed in tree pits throughout the district.

Twenty fiberglass spheres were manufactured by LIC-based fabricator, Sculpture House NYC. Five Queens-based artists were selected through an open call from Culture Lab LIC and commissioned to design and paint four planets each, with twenty total spheres representing our galaxy.
